About Us

Mission

In 2016, the Ministry of Education announced its plan for transforming Ministry-funded child and family programs across Ontario to integrate under one umbrella, which we now refer to as EarlyON. The goal of EarlyON is to enhance the quality and consistency of child and family programs across Ontario.

In January 2018, the YMCA of Three Rivers was selected as Lead Agency of EarlyON Child and Family Centres in the Waterloo Region by the Region of Waterloo (Consolidated Municipal Service Manager).  The YMCA is committed to working collaboratively with community partners to provide welcoming, high-quality play-based learning experiences for children, parents, and caring adults across our community.

Our Vision

We believe in building a friendly and inclusive environment to foster positive learning where children, parents, and caring adults can learn, play, laugh and be curious.

What We Offer…

As part of an integrated family system support service, EarlyON offers a range of free online and in-person programs, with on-site EarlyON Professionals ready to provide support, advice, and helpful resources to expecting parents and caregivers with new and subsequent children.

Territorial Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that the land on which the work of EarlyON | Waterloo Region is performed is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishnaabe, and Neutral People. We acknowledge the enduring presence of the Indigenous people with whom we share this land today, their achievements, and their contributions to our community. We offer this acknowledgment as an act of reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples of Canada.
