Parenting Now supports the parent on their journey of parenting. Our Experienced Parents are trained to listen, show curiosity, be open, respond to and empathize with the parent. When a parent has a specific concern or question regarding their child, we direct the parent to the appropriate resource.

Baby’s First Foods Two-Part Series
Join us for a free two-part workshop with a Registered Dietitian from Region of Waterloo Public Health and Emergency Services to learn about introducing solid foods, making your own baby food, and creating a positive feeding relationship with your baby in the first year.
Part 1 – Introduction to Solid Foods
Find out the best practices for introducing solid foods, including when to introduce solids, what foods should be first, how to introduce allergens, and tips for making family mealtimes enjoyable.
Part 2 – Making Baby Food
Come learn more about the world of baby food, including how to safely prepare baby food at home, texture progression, what to look for on labels, and tips for navigating the landscape of store-bought baby food.
University of Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science*
Eye Exams (6 months – 6 years)
This service will provide a full vision exam if families do not have an existing family optometrist. OHIP will cover this exam. Please provide your child’s OHIP number when booking your appointment. Spaces are limited. Registration is encouraged, however, drop in appointments may also be available.
