EarlyON Drop- In
“How Does Learning Happen? Through Play! Join other children, caring adults and families in play and exploration together! EarlyON facilitators are available to provide support and information around early learning topics, community resources, programs and referrals in our play based environment. Pre-registration is not required at EarlyON Centre-Based locations.

Pre-Registered EarlyON Drop-In (Now fully interactive play!)
“How Does Learning Happen? Through Play! Pre-register at www.KEyON.ca and join other children, caring adults and families in play and exploration together at an EarlyON mobile site! EarlyON facilitators are available to provide support and information around early learning topics, community resources, programs and referrals in our play based environment. Registration for pre-registered drop-in is ongoing throughout the program time advertised on KEyON. Individual Family Space Programming
For those families who are not ready to play in close contact with others at this time, this Individual Family Space program provides a physically distanced environment. Our EarlyON team will provide you and your child with an individual family space where you will have the opportunity to explore a variety of fun, developmentally appropriate, and interactive learning opportunities together. Individual family spaces will be set up to allow physically distanced conversations with other families and EarlyON team members. Registration closes at 09:00AM one business day before the session. Our team will call you to ask your child’s interests to help to plan the toys and materials we will set up in your Individual Family Space.

Baby and Me
Learn and play together with your baby while connecting with other families through music, songs, fingerplays, rhyming, conversations and other activities. Our EarlyON facilitators are there to support you in finding parenting information, resources and referrals. This EarlyON program includes singing indoors. Pre-registration is not required.

Explore With Us (on Zoom)
Join other children and families as we explore literacy, numeracy, and science-based activities in this 4-week series! Together, we will create, problem solve and gain a stronger understanding of our world through play. Your family will receive one kit for the month that will include all the materials for your Explore With Us series. If your family uses all the materials prior to the end of the month, our facilitators will share alternative suggestions of items that you can use from what you may already have in your home. Registration for the Explore With Us series closes the last Friday of the month before so that your kit pick up or delivery can be arranged before your first session each month.

Explorez Avec Nous (Zoom)
Explorez Avec Nous est maintenant une série qui dure un mois! Choisissez le jour de la semaine et l’heure à laquelle vous souhaitez participer et inscrivez-vous sur www.KEyON.ca. Votre famille recevra un kit pour le mois qui comprendra de tout les matériaux pour votre série d’Explorez Avec Nous. Si votre famille utilise tout les matériaux avant la fin du mois, nos facilitateurs/facilitatrices partageront des suggestions alternatives d’articles que vous pouvez utiliser à partir de ce que vous avez peut-être déjà chez vous. Les inscriptions pour la série de Mai se terminent le 27 Mai à 9h00.

Music and Movement
Join an EarlyON Facilitator and other families as we sing, dance, and explore music and movement together! Children and adults of all ages are welcome! This EarlyON program includes singing indoors. Registration is not required.

Parenting My Baby (on Zoom)
Having a new baby is a time of change, discovery, and often many questions. We invite you and your baby to come out and meet other families with babies for discussion around a variety of topics. An Early Years Professional will offer up-to-date information/resources and support. Registration closes one business day at 09:00AM before the session starts.

Read and Relax (on Zoom)
When we relax, it restores our energy. Join us on Zoom to relax, connect, and explore a new story and a calming activity together. Registration closes at 9:00AM, one business day before the session.

Ready Set Move! (on Zoom)
Encouraging physical activity supports your family in making healthy lifestyle choices. This program encourages you and your child to be active together through a variety of fun physical activities, songs and games.  Registration closes at 9:00am, one business day before the session.

Ready Set Move! (In-Person)
Encouraging physical activity supports your family in making healthy lifestyle choices. This program encourages you and your child to be active together through a variety of fun physical activities, songs and games. This is a drop-in program. Pre-registration is not required.

Parent Talk (For Parents/Caring Adults) (on Zoom)
Are you looking for an opportunity to connect with others? Join us on Zoom for a new conversation each week with our EarlyON facilitators, community partners, as well as other parents and caring adults.  Together we will explore a variety of topics from parenting and child development to community resources and more. Registration closes one business day at 09:00AM before the session starts.

Stroller Walk
Come join us outdoors for a walk in our neighbourhoods! Join our EarlyON Facilitators as we connect, explore and enjoy the outdoors together. Participate in songs, conversation and activities along the way. Participants will need to register for this program. We will not be able to accept late or unregistered participants due to insurance purposes. We will leave promptly at the program start time indicated. Please pre-register at www.KEyON.ca. Please turn notifications to “on” in KEyON to ensure you receive notifications of any closures due to inclement weather.

Targeted Specialty Programs

Baby Connections (6 to 12 months)
The Baby Connections program was developed as a resource to help parents/caregivers introduce early literacy skill development to their infants who are 6-12 months. Join us to gain confidence in playing with and promoting literacy and learning with your baby and receive a free Baby Connections Resource Kit.  For in-person programs, registration closes at 9:00am, one business day before the series starts.

The Baby Connections program was developed as a resource to help parents/caregivers introduce early literacy skill development to their infants who are 6-12 months. Home delivery of kits is available for those families who are unable to pick up at a centre.

Infant Massage (Birth to 12 months)
Building a strong attachment with your infant is one of the building blocks to social development. This program is a great way to build this attachment while learning techniques for stimulating, relaxing, and providing relief for your infant. The adult attending and participating in infant massage must be the child’s parent or legal guardian. Registration closes 2 business days at 09:00AM before the session starts for both in-person and online programs.

Circle of Security Parenting
Do you have questions about building a strong attachment with your child or children? Are you hoping to parent differently from how you were parented? Our EarlyON facilitators trained in the Circle of Security® Parenting™ program welcome you to this 9-week relationship-based series where we will explore parenting and attachment together. This program was developed by Circle of Security International. Registration closes 5 business days at 09:00AM before the session starts.

Make the Connection 0-1 (Offered in-person or on Zoom)
Make the Connection provides interactive discussions to help parents reflect on key components of secure attachment. This secure beginning sets in motion a positive course for a child’s social and emotional well-being, learning in school, and contribution to society. We will also incorporate hands-on parent-baby activities throughout the program to align with discussion topics. Registration closes one business day at 09:00AM before the session starts.

Make the Connection 1-2 (Offered in-person or on Zoom)
Make the Connection provides interactive discussions to help parents reflect on key components of secure attachment. This secure beginning sets in motion a positive course for a child’s social and emotional well-being, learning in school, and contribution to society. We will also incorporate hands-on parent-toddler activities throughout the program to align with discussion topics. Registration closes one business day at 09:00AM before the session starts.

Make the Connection 0-3 (Offered in-person or on Zoom)
Make the Connection 0-3 provides interactive discussions about the key components of secure attachment for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. We will also incorporate hands-on parent and child activities to align with discussion topics. Registration closes one business day at 09:00AM before the session starts.

Preparing for Parenthood (Prenatal)
Planning a pregnancy and expecting a new baby are both exciting times full of change, growth, discovery, and often many questions. Preparing for Parenthood is a free program series that offers information about having a healthy pregnancy and becoming a parent. Visit our Preparing for Parenthood web page for more information or www.KEyON.ca (Virtual Delivery site) to register. Sleep and Your New Baby (Birth to 12 weeks)
Region of Waterloo Public Health and Emergency Services and the EarlyON Child and Family Centres in Waterloo Region are inviting you and your baby to a free session to help you get to know more about your baby’s sleep patterns and how to respond. Visit our Sleep and Your New Baby web page for more information or www.KEyON.ca to register. Registration closes one business day at 09:00AM before the session starts.

Sleep and Your New Baby (Birth to 12 weeks) (on Zoom)
Region of Waterloo Public Health and Emergency Services and the EarlyON Child and Family Centres in Waterloo Region are inviting you and your baby to a free session to help you get to know more about your baby’s sleep patterns and how to respond. Visit our Sleep and Your New Baby web page for more information or www.KEyON.ca to register. Starting School (3 to 6 Years)
Children will explore, play and learn with other children and educators in an environment based on the kindergarten curriculum to support their transition to the school system. We invite the parents/caregivers to join us for the last 20 minutes each week to explore with us. Registration for this program is limited to 8 children. Children must be eligible to start kindergarten in September 2022. Parents/caring adults must remain onsite and within the EarlyON location for the full duration of the program. Registration closes at 9:00am, one business day before the Starting School series starts.

Super Dads Super Kids
As research continues to prove, involved, responsible and devoted dads improve their kids’ cognitive, emotional and social development. Are you a dad or other male caregiver? Join us for this 8 session series where we will discuss: The Unique Role of a dad; Child Development; Communication; Emotions and Mental Health; Discipline and Setting Limits; Physical Health – Activity and Nutrition; Physical Health – Injury Prevention; and Family/Life/Work Balance. Registration closes at 9:00am, 1 business day before the series starts.

Transitioning to Parenthood (For parents with children under 2 years) (on Zoom)
There is no training for becoming a parent. Although exciting, the transition to having a new baby at home can also be challenging. Transitioning to Parenthood is an 8-week series where you can talk with others who have a new baby, or a child up to age 2, and be connected to community resources and information by our EarlyON and Carizon (CPNP) team including a clinician (MSW). Topics include: Exploring the role of new parents; Coping with parenting stressors and the impact of COVID-19; What is post-partum depression?; Circles of support; Attachment theory; And community supports.  Registration closes at 9:00am, 5 business days before the session starts.
